A:

Most patients usually start seeing results in about 2 days to one week, every individual is different, but the full effect is seen in about 2 weeks. Botox will generally last 3 months, but will differ for some.

Effect of Botox may take one to two days to start working.

A:

In general Botox will last 3 months, it depends on your metabolism, and lifestyle. Most patients will do Botox maintenance every 3 to 4 months.

Downtime & Recovery

is there downtime after botox?

A:

There is very little down time, like one hour for the redness and swelling to disappear.

Q:

is there discomfort or downtime after botox?

A:

There may be some discomfort with both injections, so we will apply lidocaine cream when necessary. The downtime with Botox is much shorter than filler, which may take a few days.

A:

Botox is very safe, one of the safest in my opinion. At NHMW, all injections are performed by Physician Assistant with at least 18 years of Botox and filler injections.

A:

It depends, it is indicated for 18 or older. Some people are starting Botox injections in their mid to late 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and so on.

A:

Botox may be used by both men and women, and we treat many male patients at NHWC.

The unit of measurement is the biggest difference, the main thing to keep in mind, is 3 units of Dysport is equivalent to 1 unit of Botox.
